Guests love the warm tones and coziness of Peaceful Pines. It contains a queen size bed, which can sleep up to two people. This is the perfect room if you are looking to relax and look up at the trees. Peaceful Pines is located on the main level.

Located in the upper loft level of Robins Roost, Lookout Gable makes you feel like your sleeping in the trees. This ample space contains a king size bed and has it's own attached half-bath. There is a desk as well as an armchair & ottoman.

When you first walk into Robins Roost your attention goes to the rock fireplace and then up to the 50 foot vaulted ceiling. With plenty of seating, the main living room provides all the comforts of home, but still maintains a charming cabin vibe. The large bank of windows makes you feel like you are in a tree house, and offer a wonderful view of the wildlife & snow.

One of our top priorities has been to ensure that our guests have all the amenities they need to assist them in creating a great meal. Our large table has enough seating for everyone. We offer a complimentary warm beverage cart to all of our guests, stocked full with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. We think of everything, so you don't have to!

Downstairs from the main floor, guests will find the Bear Lair. This is the perfect place to play the guitar, or a board game. The blackout curtains also make it a great place to enjoy some gaming on the PS4, or watch a movie. The laundry area and the Hubby Hideout bathroom are also located on this level. Step out of the Bear Lair's porch door to access the property.
Our Mountain Neighborhood
Robins Roost is located in a quiet mountain community.
Our neighbors are friendly and welcoming. Many are full time residents. Our cabin is located in a mountain neighborhood. Animals can, and do, travel through the property. Our family enjoys watching the wildlife from the deck, and encountering animals as we go for walks. We regularly see a variety of birds, deer, fox, raccoons, and even wild turkeys. You will certainly see our resident squirrels up to their antics. Even with cleaning & pest control efforts, you may find dust, insects, spiders, bats, and other creatures, they are a part of the mountain experience. For their safety, dogs should be leashed & monitored at all times, even if they are out on the enclosed deck.
We are located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Guest need to be aware that there can sometimes be smoke carried by the wind from forest fires in other locations. Please monitor air quality conditions as your stay nears. Refunds for unused days will be given in the event of a mandated evacuation. (Which has never happened in our neighborhood to my knowledge.)
In the winter trees downed by snow, and year round weather conditions such as thunderstorms can cause power outages. We do have a generator that will automatically turn on in case of a power failure. As a courtesy, we provide guests with four hours of generator service. The air conditioner units and EV charger cannot be used when the cabin in on generator supplied power. After 4 hours of use the generator will be turned off, or guests can choose to pay $10 per hour for propane to support their generator use. (The generator uses two gallons of propane per hour.) All power outage / restore times will be based on power notifications & updates sent by PG&E.
All cancelations should be made in accordance with our policy. We encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance to assist them in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
General Location
Parking & Getting Around
You will need a vehicle while staying at Robins Roost. Guest have access to the garage during your stay. Depending on the size of your vehicle, there is the possibility of parking two cars in the garage. An additional parking space is located at the front of the property. Please do NOT park your car on / in the street. You may be ticketed. For your convenience, Robins Roost is equipped with a Level 2 EV charger located inside the garage. The EV. charger is a pay to use amenity. A money request will be sent after your stay based on your use. Use is determined by the meter at a rate of 50 cents per kWh. By using the EV charger, you agree to be billed upon departure.
Our property is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Weather conditions are always changing. Chains are frequently required for snow during the winter. Please monitor the weather and check the Caltrans website prior to your stay so that you can plan accordingly. We do not provide refunds for weather & environmental conditions. All guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance to protect themselves against unforeseen circumstances.
We do provide a snow brush for your car and a snow shovel in the event there is fresh snow. Our street does get plowed by the county, but they do not guarantee when plowing will take place. We come up often and try to keep the driveway and walkway open. We cannot guarantee that the driveway & walkways will be clear of snow if it has snowed within 24 hours of your stay, You may need to shovel snow to park / get to the front door. Our main driveway to park in the garage is completely level, which makes parking easier. Our garage can hold two cars with careful parking. The parking space at the front of the cabin may be inaccessible when it snows.
It is always the guests responsibility to monitor weather / environmental conditions and plan accordingly
